Question 660787: I really need help solving this problem:
Wilson's sand and gravel will deliver 12yd^3 of gravel for $240 and 30yd^3 for $528. What is the average rate of change of the cost as the number of cubic yards varies from 12 to 30?
I would greatly appreciate it if someone helps me out. I have no idea what to do.
Thank you so much!!
Answer by josmiceli(19441) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
This looks like
Average rate of change of cost/yd3 = ( change in cost ) / ( change in yds3 )
Average rate of change of cost/yd3 = $16 / yd3
