Question 66049: Please help me solve this and understand what I am doing thank you The graph of the equation crosses the x-axis at x=
Do i first get the x by its self? then divide by -1? y=-2x=8?
then do I add 4 to find the answer for x?
Answer by tanimachatterjee(60) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2x-y+8=0 we know if a graph crosses the x-axis at any point then the y coordinate of the point must be 0
now if we put y=0 in the equation we have 2x-0+8=0
so 2x=-8
x=-4
therefore the point is (-4,0)
