Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Hint:

a+7b=15
a+4b=6

a+7b=15
-1(a+4b)=-1*6

a+7b=15
-a-4b=-6
---------
0a+3b=9

So 3b = 9

Solve that for b. Then use this solution for b to find the solution for 'a'.
