: Find the slope of the line through the given points.
On the graph in the book if I counted the squares from the + x and y intersection from left to right I have 2. Then if I count the squared going up the graph for y I have 4th top square for the first point. For the second point counting in the same direction I have 6. Then I count down to 3 bottom corner of the square. These are the two points on the graph needed to find the slope. I would greatly appeciate any help given. Thanks.

IF I INTERPRET YOUR INFORMATION CORRECTLY YOU HAVE ADENTIFIED TWO POINTS
(2,4) & (6,-3). THE SLOPE IS FOUND THUS
(Y2-Y1)/(X2-X1)
(-3-4)/(6-2)
-7/4 IS THE SLOPE BETWEEN THESE TWO POINTS.
