what is the slope of 3x+4y=60
.
put into "slope-intercept" form:
3x+4y=60
4y=-3x+60
y=(-3/4)x+15
Because slope-intercept form is
y=mx+b
where m is the slope
from inspection the slope is -3/4

what is the slope of 3x+4y=60

3x + 4y = 60
Subtract 3x from each side of the equation.
3x + 4y - 3x = 60 - 3x
Combine like terms:
3x - 3x = 0
4y = 60 - 3x or
4y = -3x + 60
Divide each item by 4
4y/4 = -3x/4 + 60/4
y = -3x/4 + 15
The Slope Intercept Formula:
y = mx + b
m = slope
b = y-intercept
Therefore:
The Slope of the above straight line graph is:
-3/4
