Find an equation of the line containing the given pair of points.
(3,2) and (9,5)
--------
You only need to find m and b in the form y = mx+b
----
slope = m = (5-2)/(9-3) = 3/6 = 1/2
-----
You now know y = 2 when x = 3 and you know m = 1/2
----
Substitute and solve for "b":
2 = (1/2)3 + b
2 = (3/2) + b
b = 1/2
------
Equation:
y = (1/2)x+(1/2)
