Question 635864: Given the linear equation y = 1/2 x -5 , find the y-coordinates of the points (-8, ), (-2, ), and (4, ). Please show all of your work. Plot those points and graph the linear equation
Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Given the linear equation y = 1/2 x -5 , find the y-coordinates of the points
(-8, ), (-2, ), and (4, ).
Sub the value for x
y = (1/2)x -5
y = (1/2)*(-8) - 5
y = -4 - 5
y = -9
--> (-8,-9)
Do the others the same way.
===================
Please show all of your work. Plot those points and graph the linear equation
Plot the points, draw a line thru them.
