write the slope-intercept form of and equation of the line that passses through the given point and is parallel to the graph of each equation.
(4,-6), y=(3/4)x+1
---------
The slope will be (3/4).
You have a point and the slope:
y-4=(3/4)(x-3) : this is the pt-slope form
y=(3/4)x-(9/4)+(16/4)
y=(3/4)x+(7/4) : this is the slope-intercept form

The point(4,-6) & I assume the line equation is y=3/4x+1(?) If this is true then:
y=3/4x+1 is the line.
then -6=3/4*4+b is the line parallel to the line with a slope of 3/4
-6=3+b
-6-3=b
-9=b
thus the equation is
y=3/4x-9 for the parallel to 3/4x+2 passing through (4,-6).
