Y=mX+b
3.8Y=-4.2X+1.9
Y=(-4.2/3.8)X+1.9/3.8
Y=(-2.1/1.9)X+.5
Y=-1.1X+.5 NOW YOU HAVE THE SLOPE OF THIS LINE (-1.1) & THE Y INTERCEPT OF.5
SETTING Y=0 YOU CAN GET THE X INTERCEPT THUS
0=-1.1X+.5
1.1X=.5
X=.5/1.1
X=.4545 WHICH IS THE X INTERCEPT (.4545,-1.1)(0,.5) ARE TWO POINTS ON THE LINE.
