Graph Y=2(x+3)(x-4)^2 and label all intercepts
The y-intercept is when x=0
y=2(0+3)(0-4)^2
y=2(3)(-4)^2
y=2(3)(16)
y=96 The y intercept is at (0,96), You're going to need a lot of graph paper, if you don't make it a different scale for your y's.

Your x-intercepts happen when y=0
0=2(x+3)(x-4)^2
0/2=2/2(x+3)(x-4)^2
0=(x+3)(x-4)^2
x+3=0 and x-4=0
x+3-3=0-3 and x-4+4=0+4
x=-3 and x=4
The x-intercepts are (-3,0) and (4,0) Plot those points.
You'll want to let x= something less than -3, like -4.
y=2(-4+3)(-4-4)^2
y=2(-1)(-8)^2
y=2(-1)(64)
y=-128 Plot (-4,-128) Plot that!
Now let x= somethin bigger than 4, like 5.
y=2(5+3)(5-4)^2
y=2(8)(1)^2
y=2(8)(1)
y=16 Plot (5,16)
You already have a point between -3 and 4, the y-intercept.
If you are graphing this on a graphing calculator, let x min=-10, x max=10, y min=-200, and y max=100
