y = 2x - 4
2x + 3y = -12

I would convert the 2nd equation to slope-intercept form so that it is easier to graph. Subtract 2x from both sides of the equation.

3y = -2x - 12

Divide both sides of the equation by 3.

y=(-2/3)x-4

Observing the graph, it appears that the solution (the intersection of the two lines) is the point (0,-4). We need to check this point in both equations to be sure.
