graph the intercepts of x and y if y = 3x - 6
-----------------
If x=0, y=-6
That is the y-intercept.
-----------
If y=0, x=2
That is the x-intercept
------------

The vertical intercept will be -6. To find horizontal intercept create a table of values based on y=3x-6 replacing x with a series of numbers e.g.
x y
-3 3x-3-6 -15
-2 3x-2-6 -12
-1 3x-1-6 -9
0 3x0-6 -6
1 3x1-6 -3
2 3x2-6 0
3 3x3-6 3
Plotting these points will give horizontal (x) intercept of 2
