Using the standard slope-intercept form for an equation of a line y = mx + b
where m is the slope and b the y-intercept.
(3,6) and
(-5,-1) m = 7/8
y = (7/8)x+b
6 = (7/8)3 + b
27/8 = b
y = (7/8)x + 27/8 OR 7x-8y = -27 in standard form
