-10x+y=14
rewrite equation in slope intercept form
y=10x+14
compare with y= mx+b
What is the y-intercept? 14

What is the x-intercept?
plug y = 0
-10x=14
/-10
x=14/-10
x=-7/5

2. Graph the equation and identify the y-intercept.

x+3y=12
3y=-x+12
when x= 0 y= 4 ,( 0 , 4 )
when y = 0 x= 12 ,( 12 , 0 )

y intercept=4

3. Solve.
8y-8<7y-1
+8 +8
8y<7y-1+8
8y<7y+7
/8
y<(7/8)y+7/8

4. Find the slope if it exists.

x+7y=14
7y=-x+14
/7
y=-(1/7)x+2
