Question 567017: 2x-5y=50
y=7-3x
Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2 x -5 y = 50 .............1
3 x + 1 y = 7 .............2
Eliminate y
multiply (1)by 1
Multiply (2) by 5
2 x -5 y = 50
15 x 5 y = 35
Add the two equations
17 x = 85
/ 17
x = 5
plug value of x in (1)
2 x + -5 y = 50
10 + -5 y = 50
-5 y = 50-10
-5 y = 40
y = -8
