Question 55806: find the distance between the pair of points (-2 -6), (7, -3)
Answer by checkley71(8403) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
X VALUES ARE -2 & 7 THUS THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THEM IS 7-(-2)=9/2=4.5
THEN THE MID POINT OF THE X AXIS IS 7-4.5=2.5 OR -2+4.5=2.5
Y VALUES ARE -6 & -3 THUS THE DISTANCE HERE IS -6-(-3)=6+3=3/2=1.5
THEN THE MID POINT OF THE Y AXIS IS -6+1.5=-4.5 OR -3-1.5=-4.5
SO THE MID POINTS ARE (2.5,-4.5)
