I am a 15 year old student at Roane County High School, I have a comprehension problem with Math and do not understand it as easy as many others, and my teacher doesn't explain it well enough for me to understand. So if you could help me understand this Math problem and how to do it, it would be greatly appreciated. Now please understand that I can't use the signs that it has listed so I will just spell it out THANKS SO MUCH

Ok here are my directions- Write and inequality for this situation.
The U.S Postal service limits the size of the packages to those in which the length of the longest side plus the distance around the thickest part is less than or equal to 108 inches.
If you could help me understand that a little bit better it would be greatly appreciated!!!! This question is from textbook Algebra 1

Write an inequality for this situation.
The U.S Postal service limits the size of the packages to those in which the length of the longest side plus the distance around the thickest part is less than or equal to 108 inches.

length of longest side + distance around thickest part <= 108
You could symbolize that length by "x"
You could symbolize the distance around as "p".
Then you get x+p <= 108
