You can put this solution on YOUR website!
THIS EQUATION IS OF A LINE THAT HAS A SLOPE OF 3/4
AND A Y INTERCEPT OF 2 (0,2)
NOW SET Y=0 AND SOLVE FOR X WE GET
0=(3/4)X+2
(3/4)X=-2
3X=-8
X=-8/3 (2 2/3)THUS THE X INTERCEPT IS (-8/3,0)
THUS THE TWO POINTS ARE (x1,y1)(x2,y2) (0,2)(-8/3,0)
TO PLOT THE POINT (0,2) COUNT 2 UNITS UP ON THE Y AXIS FROM THE X&Y INTERSECTION, [THIS POINT IS (0,0)].
NOW COUNT 2 2/3 UNITS TO THE LEFT ON THE X AXIS FROM THE X&Y INTERSECTION.
NOW DRAW A LINE THROUGH THESE TWO POINTS
HOPE THIS HELPS : )
