Question 548911: Use the graph of the function f to find(-4),f(-3), and (-2)
Answer by mathie123(224) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I hope you have a graph to go along with this question?
Okay, so f(x) is really just the y value at the given x value.
For example, if I have a point (3,5) on a function f(x), then we can say that f(3)=5. (Notice that a function must past the vertical line test to be considered a function, so there will only be one answer as for every x value there is only one y value)
So for this question. To find f(-4), look at your graph and see what is the y value when x=-4.
(and do the same thing for the other two as well)
Hopefully this helps:)
