Solve and graph:
2x+3-x>5 Combine like terms:
(2-1)x+3>5
1x+3>5
x+3>5
x+3-3>5-3
x+0>2
x>2
This is read, "x is greater than 2."
If you have to graph this on a numberline, put an open circle, o, or a parenthesis, ( , over 2 (depending on your teacher's preference), and shade over the numbers greater than 2 (on the right side of 2).

If you have to graph this as a line, I can't show you that in this program, but I can tell you what to do. Draw a vertical dashed line (One that goes up and down, not side to side)and shade the plane on the right side of that.
