if you have a solution of 2 and -8 then
you must have these two as factors:
(x-2) and (x+8)
.
To find the quadratic multiply together:
(x-2)(x+8)
FOIL
x^2 + 8x -2x - 16
x^2 + 6x - 16

based on the 2 solutions we can write: (x-2) (x+8)=0.
in order to write the equation we have to multiply, using distributive property.
x^2+8x-2x-16 (add common terms up)
