x-intercept: plug in y=0 and solve for x

5x-2y=10
5x-2(0)=10
5x=10
x=2
So the x-intercept is (2,0)

y-intercept: plug in x=0 and solve for y

5x-2y=10
5(0)-2y=10
-2y=10
y=-5
So the y-intercept is (0,-5)

Slope: Solve for y and place in y = mx+b form where m is the slope

5x-2y=10

-2y=10-5x

-2y=-5x+10

y=(-5x+10)/(-2)

y=(-5x)/(-2)+(10)/(-2)

y = (5/2)x-5

The equation is now in y = mx+b form where m = 5/2 and b = -5

So the slope is m = 5/2
