Question 474039: Find the y-intercept for -3x – 2y = 12
Answer by rfadrogane(214) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Solution:
The y-intercept will be obtain by transposing the x-terms on the other side, just like this
2y = 12 - 3x, then after, divide by 2 on both side
y = (-3/2)x + 6
also, from the standard form of line equation, the slope-intercept form
y = mx + b, where m - the slope and b - the y-intercept
if we apply this condition to our equation above,we have our y-intercept as
b = 6 ---- answer
