First graph the line 3x + 4y = 12. Since your inequality is inclusive of equals, graph it with a solid line indicating that the boundary line is part of the solution set. Since the line does NOT pass through the origin (zero is not equal to 12), use the origin as a test point. Substitute the coordinates of the origin for x and y in your original inequality. If the result is a true statement, then shade in the half plane that includes the origin. If the result is a false statement, shade in the half-plane that does NOT include the origin.
