You can put this solution on YOUR website! y=mx+b
m=slope (-6)
b=y intercept (-8)
Setting y=0 & solving for the x intercept we get:
0=-6x-8
0 = -6x – 8
6x=-8
x=-8/-6
x=1.333 the x intercept. (graph 300x200 pixels, x from -6 to 5, y from -10 to 10, -6x -8).
