I am having trouble with this equation: m^2 - 1 / (m + 1)^2. Can someone please help me with this equation?
--------------------------
That is not an equation but it can be simplified.
-----
(m^2 - 1 / (m + 1)^2
----------
Factor:
----
[(m-1)(m+1)] / [(m+1)(m+1)]
Cancel the common (m+1) factors to get:
---
= (m-1)/(m+1)
