Question 433792: Find the y and x-intercept for 5x-3y=75. Type an ordered pair for the y-intercept and x-intercept. Please show steps if possible. Thank you.
Answer by wilft1(217) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
to find the x and y intercept, simply replace the x or y with a 0 and solve
for x intercept
5x-3(0)=75
5x=75
5x/5 - 75/5
x=15 so, your first ordered pair is (15,0)
solving for y intercept
5(0)-3y=75
5 x 0 is going to be 0
-3y = 75
---- --
-3 -3
second ordered pair is (0,-25)
