Question 43076: Can anyone graph these 2 equations on one graph so I can see the properly shaded areas? I never have trouble with one equation, but with two I always seem to shade the wrong areas.
y<= 2x+9
y>= -6x-5

Answer by Nate(3500)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I don't know how to shade of these graphs with the PC, so I'll tell you where to shade:

y-intercept: 9
slope: 2
connect the dots with a solid ( is equal to as well) and shade under (because is less than)

y-intercept: -5
slope: -6
connect the dots with a solid ( is equal to as well) and shade above (because is greater than)

You get a shaded region in the big region at the right right part of the graph.
