Question 410095: 4x + 5y = -2
4y -x = 11
I'm not sure how to graph this. I tried the slope intercept form. Plus is it dependent, independent or inconsistent

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4x + 5y = -2
4y -x = 11
-------------
Rearrange:
y = (-4/5)x - (2/5)
y = (1/4)x + (11/4)
-----
The slopes are different so the
system is independent.
