Question 40066: HELP!!!
change the fraction w-3/w+5 into an equivalent fraction with the denominator
Answer by tran3209(100) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
W^2 + W - 20 factor the expression: (W+5)(W-4)
W-3/W+5 to make the denominator become (W+5)(W-4) we need to multiply the
fraction by W-4/W-4
( W-3/W+5 )( W-4/W-4 )
(W-3)(W-4)/(W+5)(W-4)
W^2-7W+12/W^2+W-20
The answer is : W^2-7W+12/W^2+W-20
