Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
 A woman is certain that every time she parks in the municipal garage it costs her at least $2.45, if the garage charges 45 cents plus 25 cents for each half hour, how long has the woman park?
-----
Cost for x hrs = 45 + 25x cents
----
Equation:
245 = 45+25x
200 = 25x
x = 8 hrs.
