Question 390458: -5x+2y=10 sketch a graph for this equation

Answer by emargo19(101)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Slope intercept equation (y=mx+b)
b = y-intercept
m=slope
-5x + 2y = 10
2y = 5x+10
y = 5x/2 +10/2
y= 5x/2 + 5
slope(m)= 5/2 or -5/-2
b = 5 (Therefore y=5)
Lets plot y=5 and m=-5/-2
I'll start by plotting y=5
From this point, I go down 5 on the y-axis and over -2 to the left on x-axis:
