Question 377599: Please help me with this problem:
RADIO BROADCASTING RANGES The signal from a radio station has a circular range of 50 miles. A second radio station, located 100 miles east and 80 miles north of the first station, has a range of 80miles. Are there locations where signals can be received from borth radio stations? Explain answer.
Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The distance between the 2 stations is
d =~ 128.06 miles
That's less than the sum of their ranges, so there is some overlap.
Inside the overlap area, both stations are within range.
