y=x^2-4x+4
(graph 300x200 pixels, x from -6 to 5, y from -10 to 10, x^2 -4x +4).
Intercepts(0,4)(2,0)
Proof using the (2,0) x & y values:
0=2^2-4*2+4
0=4-8+4
0=0

intercepts for the equation:

y = x^2-4x+4  y-intercept (0,4)  (y is 4 when x = 0)

0 = x^2-4x+4

factoring

(x-2)(x-2) = 0

(x-2)= 0

(x-2) =0 

x = 2

x - Intercept (2,0)
