would I put this in the form y=mx+b. If that is what I would do. I believe that the slope would be -4. Is that correct? Or would it be 3 because the problem is in that form but the x and y are in different positions. I get a little confused with this. If you could be of some assistance I would appreciate it. And I believe the y intercept would be (0,3)? Or am I totally off. Thanks for your help!

Find the slope and y intercept of line 4x = 3y + 9 

Yes! putting it in the slope intercept form  y = mx + b is exactly right!proceed. 

Solving for y

3y  + 9 = 4x

3y = 4x - 9

y = (4/3)x - 3

m = (4/3)  the slope

b = 3   line crosses the y axis at (0,-3)
