y= 3x-2 and y= -x^2+2x+1
for both equations find values of y for x= -2,-1,0,1,2,3.
Plot the graphs .

3x-2=-x^2+2x+1 ( both are equal to y)
x^2+x-3=0
solve the equation by quadratic formula
x1=(-b+sqrt(b^2-4*a*c))/2*a)
a=1, b=1,c=-3
plug the values of a b c
x1=(-1+sqrt(1+12)/2
x1= 1.3
x2=(-1-sqrt(1+12)/2
x2= -2.3
..
Now y= 3x-2
fr x= 1.3 y=1.9 ( 1.3,1.9)
For x= -2.3 y=-8.9 (-2.3,-8.9)
(1.3,1.9), (-2.3,-8.9) are the points of intersection
