Question 329247: How to graph f(x)=x+1?
Answer by nyc_function(2741)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let y = f(x)
y = x + 1
Select two values for x to find two y values. This will give you two points in the form (x,y). Then plot your two points on the coordinate plane and connect them with a straight line. Your function is a linear function and all linear functions form a straight line. The word LINEAR comes from the word LINE.
