The owner of a health-food store sells a mixture of seeds and nuts. The seeds cos .20 pers ounce, and the nuts cost .30 per ounce. Forty-two ounces of the mixture has a value of $11.00. How many ounces of seeds and nuts did the owner use in the mix?

.20x+12.6-.30x=11
-.10x=11-12.6
-.10x=-1.6
x=-1.6/-.10
x=16 oz. of seeds.
