subtract 2x and 3 from both sides

Just treat the > sign as an equals sign, and solve for x:
3x + 3 > 2x + 10
Subtract 2x from both sides
3x - 2x + 3 > 10
Subtract 3 from both sides
x > 10-3
x > 7
