You can put this solution on YOUR website!
First find the y-intercept
y=-2 and x=-6

Simplfy that:
you get b=-14/4
Now to write it in Ax+By=C form remember that it should not have any negatives in the Ax value or any fraction in the whole equation:

Remove fraction by mulitplying the whole equation by 4 and simplfy:
4y=-x-14

Hence, your equation is x+4y=-14

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(-6,-2) slope= -1/4
+y=mx%2Bb+ plug in the known variables
+-2=%28-1%2F4%29%28-6%29+%2B+b+ solve for b
+-2=+6%2F4+%2B+b+
+-2+=+3%2F2+%2B+b+
+-4%2F2+=+3%2F2+%2B+b+
+-7%2F2+=+b+
+y=mx%2Bb+ plug b and m back in
+y=%28-1%2F4%29x-7%2F2+ multiply all parts by 4 to get rid of the fraction
+4y=-1x-14+ add 1x to both sides
+1x%2B4y=-14+
