Question 306228: How would you graph y>-3x+1 and what would you call this?
Answer by Fombitz(32388)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Graph the line ?
This then splits the plane into two regions.
Pick a point in one of the regions, usually (0,0) is easiest as long as it doesn't lie on the line.
If the points satisfies the inequality, then the region that contains the point is shaded as the solution region. If it doesn't then the point that doesn't include that point is shaded.

In this case, (0,0) is not on the line.
Use that point to test the inequality.

Clearly that's not true, so (0,0) is not in the solution region.
Shade the right hand region.
