SOLUTION: Find x- and the y- intercept of {{{y=3x^2+5x-2}}}.
Here's what I've got so far:
y-int:
y=3(0)^2 + 5(0) - 2
so y=0+0-2
so y+-2
and for the x-int:
0=3x^2+5x-2
here's where I

Do I add 2 to each side and then try to square out the remaining components? If so, how do I go about that? Because I'm confused at this step.
Any help is appreciated, thank you!

Find x- and the y- intercept of y=3x%5E2%2B5x-2.

x intercepts occurs when y = 0
3x^2 + 5x - 2 = 0
This can be factored to
(3x - 1)(x + 2) = 0
Two solutions which are the x intercepts
3x = 1
x =
and
x = -2
