Question 272044: graph y=-1/5x-2
Answer by checkley77(12844) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Y=mX+b is the line equation where m=slope & b=the Y intercept (0,-2).
graph y=-1/5x-2
Set y=0 and solve for the x intercept.
0=-x/5-2
-x/5=2
-x=10
x=-10 or (-10,0) is the x intercept.
Plot these 2 points & draw the line.
(graph 300x200 pixels, x from -12 to 5, y from -10 to 10, -x/5 -2).
