Answer by checkley77(12844) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Y=mX+b
m=SLOPE & b=THE Y INTERCEPT.
y=5x+15
b=15 THE Y INTERCEPT. (0,15)
SETY=0 & SOLVE FOR X
0=5X=15
5X=-15
X=-15/5
X=-3 ANS. FOR THE X INTERCEPT. (-3,0)
PROOF:
(graph 300x200 pixels, x from -6 to 5, y from -10 to 18, 5x +15).
