Question 259627: When making a telephone call using a calling card, a call lasting 6 minutes costs 1.65. A call lasting 16 minutes costs 3.65. Find a linear function that relates the cost of making a call (C) to the length of the call (x).

The points are (6,1.65) and (16, 3.65)
Here we have x,c instead of x,y
c-c/x-x=m
3.65-1.65/16-6=m
2/10=1/5
c=1/5*x+b
1.65=1/5(6)+b
1.65=6/5+b
1.65*5/6=b
1.375=b
C=x/5+1.375
