Question 254979: How to convert the equation of the circle from standard form(or any other form) to graphing form?
Can anyone show me how to convert this equation: y=-+squareroot[9-(x-4)^2] - 2 to the graphing form, which looks like: (something)^2+ (something)^2 = something( in this case =9)
Thanks

Answer by drk(1908)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!

add 2 to get

square both sides to get

add (x-4)^2 to both sides to get

center = (4,-2) with radius of 3
