It looks like your slope is a negitive, is that right????
have you tried using the pythagorean theorem? a^2 +b^2=c^2
a would be the height of the porch, unknown,
b is the length the ramp extends 50ft
c would be the slope
then solve for A.
try this and if you still can't get it let me know, ok????
