Question 253769: 5(r-8)+4>6(r+2)-28 solve
Answer by MRperkins(300) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Distribute the 5 and the 6
Combine your constants (the numbers without r. Get all of your r on one side of the inequality and all of you constants on the other side. multiply or divide to get r by itself. If you multiply or divide by a negative number across the inequality, then you must flip the inequality sign.

Email me with any questions. Do not email me, "How do I work this problem, please show me the steps because I must copy them down for full credit on my assignment". Instead, write something like, "I know how to get this far, but I am not sure what the next step is." or "We have been doing inequalities, but this problem is different. I keep getting r=4, but when I plug that back into the equation it does not give me the correct answer. What am I doing wrong?" Writing questions like the second two questions either to me or on this site will guarantee that you get your questions answered quickly and with focused answers that will help you understand exactly what you are having difficulty with. A lot of times you will even be able to answer your own question when you try this.
