P=2l+2w (perimeter formula)
P=86
l=2w+4 (length = 4 more than twice the width)
Substitute 2w+4 in for l in the perimeter formula.
Substitute 86 in for P in the perimeter formula.
solve for w.
Plug this quantity in for w in the formula l=2w+4 and find your length.
