Graph the line whose x-intercept is -8 and whose y-intercept is -6 .

Since the x intercept (i.e. where y = 0) is -8 we know the point (-8,0) is on the line.
Since the y intercept (i.e. where x = 0) is -6 we also know the point (0,-6) is on the line.
Plot these two points and draw the unique line through them.
